An analysis of the TV coverage of the Great East Japan Disaster, written by a researcher at the NHK Broadcast Culture Research Institute. A complete analysis is reported in ‘Hoso kenkyu to chousa’(Tanaka,T. and Hara, Y. 2011, 2012). This document introduces several tendencies and stances toward disaster reporting by NHK and commercial networks in Japan.
