Since March 11, 2011, people have been living with increased levels of radiation released from the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant in their daily lives.Independent monitoring has shown that the release of radiation is different than government projections. Internationally, there is no consensus about safe evacuation distances.It is necessary for everyone to make an effort to minimize exposure to harmful levels of radiation.
