南三陸町平成の森仮設住宅では、それまであった共同入浴施設の閉鎖に伴い公衆浴場の必要性が高まりました。しかし、建築資材や大工さんの数が限られていたので、小林博人准教授と研究室のメンバーは現場で容易に入手できる合板を利用して素人にも組み立てられる設計を行いました。
