FoE Japan is an international NGO that deals with global environmental issues. They organized the “Tsuchiyu Hot Springs Project,” inviting families in the Watari District, Fukushima City, to spend a few days at hotels near Tsuchiyu Hot Springs. Watari was polluted with high levels of radiation, and the project will allow children to spend time away from high levels of radiation while helping the local economy recover from the nuclear disaster.
