This is Yoshinobu Bandai. Ban-chan for short. He witnessed the tsunami first hand, came within meters of it. Until recently, he was one of the most active recovery workers in Ishinomaki. Now, he is New York, working in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, helping those who helped him.
