Kizuna Commons | My New Life (words of an Ishinomaki fisherman)

Item Description
I used to pretend that I was going out to the balcony to have a smoke so my wife wouldn’t see me…and I would just cry. We lost everything. Our house. Our boat. Our town. Our livelihoods. I guess we are still lucky. We found this one bedroom apartment we are in now through a friend, so we are not in temporary housing. We used to have a nice house. We grew everything. Flowers, shrubs, vegetables. We used to hardly go shopping. Everything we ate came from our garden and our neighbors and the sea.
