04/03/2013 Toyo Ito is the sixth Japanese architect to become a Pritzker Laureate.After the 2011 earthquake. Mr. Ito founded KYSIN-no-kai with four well-known Japanese architects (Kengo Kuma, Riken Yamamoto, Kazuyo Sejima and Hiroshi Naito). KYSIN-no-kai has been working with various communities in the affected areas to create community spaces in tightly planned temporary housing complexes.
