Submitted by RIJS on
Item Description

Each city and town has its own idea on heights of these protective barriers, some proposal reaching 10 meters (33 feet) in height. This may ruin some sunrises, to say the least. There are signs these plans are simply reactionary gestures–and not addressing future tsunami threats realistically.
