A representative of Project HOPE met with the Japanese Iwate prefecture Governor, Takuya Tasso, in his Morioka city office. Project HOPE began deploying medical volunteers to the Miyagi prefecture in March and continuously re-positioned them as temporary shelters closed or relocated, and as the city and town health care providers returned to work.
