WPSAR Vol 2, No 4, 2011 In this paper we report on the damage and its impact to describe the health consequences among disaster victims in Iwate Prefecture who were subject to damage from the tsunami. We also detail the public health and sanitation activities that were implemented by the Iwate prefectural government and various other health-related organizations.
