Item Description
In response to the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake on １１ March ２０１１, the UNOCHA deployed an UNDAC team to Japan. It is worth noting that (１) the UNDAC team was deployed to a developed country, especially in terms of disaster mitigation and response, and (２) the affected area was so wide. Thus, the activity of the UNDAC team in Japan was somewhat different from other UNDAC missions. In this paper, the activity of the UNDAC team in Japan is reported from my experience as a member of the team
