English Description
I was in class, and everyone noticed the earthquake. It was quite big compared to the usual ones, but there had been a relatively large earthquake the night before as well. However, the earthquake didn't stop and the shaking got worse. We all got under our desks, and afterwards we evacuated onto the main field. We were stuck on the field for a very long time, and no one really knew what was happening. Some people thought the earthquake epicenter wasn't far from Tokyo because of how strong we felt it. Phone service was down but internet connection still worked. I ended up getting more information from my sister in America. She was updated me with what American news was reporting regarding the magnitude of the earthquake, fires, and tsunamis. Every time there was an update about the magnitude of the earthquake, there was a new update with a higher rating. Once we finally left school, we were on the bus for 8 hours, because all the roads were jam packed. School was cancelled the next day, and many people were already leaving the country. There were pretty big aftershocks, compared to what we were used to. We left the day after, and school was cancelled for the rest of the week.
