I remember being at an MUN conference in Budapest, the country in which I was currently living. One of the students was japanese and he got called out to hear about it. I remember how the whole day the japanese government was saying that the nuclear plant was completely stable and how there is a 99% chance that it would't leak. And I remember, at the same time thinking in my head I wouldn't trust their word, after all the Japanese government isnt known for it prioritising its people over its reputation. And then I remember hearing the news that I had been dreading and half expecting. I remember hearing that the plant had reached meltdown.
