English Title
Watching Mulan in my 4B History Class
English Description
We were all sitting comfortably in our desks during our 4th period history class. It was our last class for the day and it was a relaxing one because it was the day we started watching the Disney movie: Mulan. As half of us were starting to sleep the climax of the movie started which was of course, the avalanche. I remember that the room started to shake as soon as the avalanche occurred in the movie; the giant amount of snow rumbling down the mountain as Mulan ignites a bomb. l thought the shaking of the room was my imagination taking over from the tiredness that built up during the day. But when one of my classmates exclaimed, "Cool sound system! The noise is making the room shake!" I realized it was an earthquake. I turned to my teacher and told her, "I think it's an earthquake" we both looked at each other and shrugged it off since earthquakes were a common daily ritual in Japan. But as the room kept shaking more violently, the whole class started to panic as the teacher stopped the movie and told us to all get under our desks. Half of us started to joke about it to clam ourselves down and the other half shut our eyes and prayed for the violent shaking to stop. The shaking stopped thirty seconds later and we all gathered on the field waiting to ride our school buses and public trains to go home safely and feel the warm embraces of our families. After that everything was a blur and before I knew it, I was home, safe and sound.
