In the following ceremony held by Ashinaga right after the Shinto ceremony Kasumi Abe, an 11-year-old elementary school student, read out an essay in a cheerful voice, in which she expressed how much she was looking forward to the completion of the new building by writing “I can’t wait until the new building of the Ishinomaki Rainbow House has been completed. I want a slide and a jungle gym in it.” Kasumi lost her mother to the tsunami in the city of Higashi Matsushima.
