A delegation from Ashinaga visited Los Angeles from March 14 through March 21. The group included 14 high school and college athletes who participated in the 2012 Honda LA Marathon as a part of efforts to raise funds for the construction and operation of Tohoku Rainbow House in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, as well as four satellite facilities to be built along the coast devastated by the Great East Japan Earthquake and subsequent tsunami that occurred on March 11, 2011.
