Item Description
March 16, 2011 A U.S. psychologist says it's better to ally children's fears about the devastation in Japan than to try to shield them from the news. Deborah L. Best, an expert in child development at Wake Forest University, said not only is it nearly impossible for parents to shield their children from the news, but children are likely to express fears about what they've seen such as: "Will a tsunami wash away my school?" -- so it's important for parents to allay their fears.
