Just a month after the earthquake in Japan, Kodansha, a major Japanese publisher, has launched 3/11 Project, a ninety-nine-cent app that features work from fourteen photographers who witnessed the human toll of the disaster and documented the initial rebuilding efforts. The app is an innovative alternative to both a traditional photo book and a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
