農地を取り戻す除染法の実証的開発
村民が自分でできる除染方法の開発を行っています。 水田に水を引き込み、浅く代掻きして表面の土壌のみを水の中に巻き上げ、これを洗い流すという方法を開発しました（TVなどの報道では「田車除染」と呼ばれています）。 洗い流した土壌は穴に埋め、上から汚染されていない土壌で覆う。除染から汚染土処分までの一連の工法を「までい工法」と名付けました。 また埋めた土壌に含まれた放射能の動きを継続的に測定しています。Source: http://www.fukushima-saisei.jp/aboutus/activities/
Empirical Development of a Decontamination Method to Reclaim Farmland
We are developing a decontamination method that villagers can use themselves. We have developed a method that involves drawing water into rice paddies, shallowly plowing the paddy fields, and then washing away the surface soil (referred to as "rice field decontamination" in TV and other media reports). The washed-out soil is then buried in a hole and covered with uncontaminated soil. We have named this entire process, from decontamination to disposal of the contaminated soil, the "Madai Method." We are also continuously monitoring the movement of radioactivity contained in the buried soil.
