The Sendai Committee for the UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction is the body formed to support the Conference to be held in March 2015. The Committee is mostly made up of representatives of the public and private sectors in Tohoku. It aims to facilitate a successful Conference by running preparatory events in the lead up to the Conference and extending a warm welcome to participants.
