2014 Learning about Fukushima

I am a high school student learning about Fukushima (triple disaster) in my Contemporary World Issues class at the American School in Japan. I was in Tokyo, Japan during the 2011 3.11 disaster, attending school at ASIJ. After the earthquake struck, students were taken home by bus where there were hordes of people all trying to get home. It took nearly 8 hours for my school bus to get to my bus stop, and the public was very panicked. We learned about what happened in Fukushima and the nearby coastal cities via social media, and there were a lot of discontent about TEPCO and the government shortly after the nuclear crisis was revealed.
