English Title
A Testimonial of A Student
English Description
When living in India I witnessed the March 2011 tragedy through a tv screen. I didn't realize how tragic the event was until I moved to Japan a year and a half later. Living in Japan I have realized how much of an impact this has had on society. The people of Japan are generally nationalistic though there are many now who question the government. It is 2014 and still we do not quite know everything about the nuclear plant meltdown. Parents are still scared because the government has hidden so much from its people, they do not know if the food is safe to eat or if the radiation levels are acceptable. I learned this from interviews taken at the American School In Japan when studying the events on March 11. I think it will take Japan many years before it fully recovers from this crisis.
