福島復興支援活動:NPO法人シャロームでは、「春りん蔵」という種類の食用ひまわりを栽培し、採れた種でひまわり油「みんなの手」を精製して
いましたが、2011.3.11の震災と原発事故による土壌汚染の懸念から、地元でのひまわり栽培を断念し、全国の福島を応援する皆さんからひまわりの栽培協力者を募り、全国各地でひまわりを栽培してもらうのが「ひまわりプロジェクト」です。
Fukushima Reconstruction Support Activities: The NPO Shalom cultivated an edible sunflower variety called "Haru Rinzou" and refined the harvested seeds into sunflower oil called "Minna no Te" (Everyone's Hands).
However, due to concerns about soil contamination caused by the March 11, 2011 earthquake and nuclear accident, they abandoned local sunflower cultivation. Instead, they launched the "Sunflower Project," which involves recruiting sunflower growers from people across Japan who support Fukushima, and having them cultivate sunflowers in various locations throughout the country.
