I am currently enrolled in a class titled Current World Issues: Fukushima at the American School in Japan and we just finished a presentation on 3/11 Tsunami. One key aspect of the 3/11 Tsunami that we focused on was the media's portrayal of tsunamis. As seen in the public's infatuation with disaster films, we noticed a tendency for the media to inflate and over exaggerate the effects of what actually took place on 3/11.
