This study is focusing on damage to water supply facilities during the 2011 great east Japan earthquake and tsunami. At first, an outline of damage to water supply facilities is given and the damage to water supply pipelines of Sendai City is analyzed. An abrupt increase in flow rate and a decrease in water pressure of water distribution system were occurred in spite of no damage to pipeline just after the earthquake. We clarified the situation through a questionnaire survey to waterworks bureau
