March 11, 2016: Not Here Five Years Ago,

Moving to Japan after the Triple Disasters was worrying, but it also brought about a ton of questions: what's happening now? Is there radiation? How are people coping? Moving to Japan changed my perception of what happened in Japan. The people were living with the thought of the earthquake every day. They weren't living in fear, however: they were living in the hope of spreading awareness. To this day, everyone works hard to not only spread awareness about Fukushima, but also about the steps needed after a significant natural disaster. Triple Disasters were certainly a disaster, but for future generations, it was a wake-up call for preparing for the worst while hoping for the best.
