OFUNATO, Iwate -- At a makeshift evacuation shelter here, people who lost homes and loved ones to the March 11 earthquake and tsunami banded together to survive when outside help was cut. They continue to live together and encourage one another now, trying to keep their spirits up amidst this trying time.
