My Experience On 3/11

I was sitting in my last class of the day. My friend was in the middle of telling me a joke when the school started shaking. We had practiced what to do in case of an earthquake, so I knew what to do. As I sat underneath my desk in the shaking building, I looked over at my friend. We started laughing because we thought the shaking was fun. We thought it felt like a rollercoaster. After the shaking had stopped, the school evacuated everyone onto our football field. We sat there for an hour. After that, we were all sent to the bus. The normally 45 minutes bus ride home, took us 8 hours. I got home at 1 a.m. I tried calling my mom on the bus but the phones wouldn't work. We tried to stop at convenient stores to buy food, but everything was sold out. After the earthquake and tsunami disaster, we almost moved out of Tokyo. We feared of the radiation in the air. It was a truly devastating time.
