English Title
Train abandoned since the 3/11 disaster finally hauled away
English Description

MINAMI-SOMA, Fukushima Prefecture--An express train that pulled into a station here five years ago and never left was finally lifted off its tracks March 17, removing a stark reminder of the 3/11 disaster.

Bound for Tokyo’s Ueno Station, the limited express “Super Hitachi No. 50” was stopped at Haranomachi Station on the JR Joban Line when the magnitude-9.0 Great East Japan Earthquake struck.
