二本松市では地元の医療機関も機能を回復し、福島市では地元の薬剤師会による臨時の調剤薬局を設置するなど、徐々に救護班のニーズは減少していました。一方で、長期の避難生活により慢性疾患の悪化や生活習慣病の発症などが増加しています。
This content is about an excerpt of a report on relief activities conducted by the Nagaoka Red Cross Hospital during the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. The excerpt is about essays contributed by staff members of the hospital who provided activities in early April 2011, almost one month after the earthquake and tsunami.
By that time, local hospitals recovered its capabilities and capacities in Nihonmatsu City and a local pharmacists' association opened a temporary dispensing pharmacy in Fukushima City. Needs for relief teams were decreasing day by day. On the other hand, the prolonged evacuation was worsening chronic diseases and seeing more life-style related diseases developed.
