長岡赤十字病院の「救護活動記録」の、会津若松地域の2次避難所で巡回診療を行った職員からの寄稿です。
巡回診療は、2次避難所となっているホテルなどを巡回し診療を行うことです。2次避難所には、浜通りから避難している人が多く、着の身着のままで避難し、気候の異なる地まで移動を繰り返してきました。医療はもちろん必要ですが、それよりもじっくり話を聞くこころのケアの必要性が強く感じられました。

The excerpt is about essays contributed by the hospital staff members who provided mobile clinic services at secondary evacuation centers in Aizuwakamatsu Area, Fukushima Prefecture.
The mobile clinic services were provided by visiting the secondary evacuation centers which were hotels and treating patients. Many of the evacuees at the secondary evacuation centers were from Hama Dori, an area along the Pacific coast. They had to evacuate their homes without bringing their belongings and travel from an evacuation center to another center and finally reached the Aizuwakamatsu Area where the climate is different from their area. Needless to say, it is important to provide the evacuees with healthcare. However, the staff members felt that it was more necessary to provide psychological care to the evacuees by listening carefully to them.
