This content is about an excerpt of a report on relief activities conducted by the Nagaoka Red Cross Hospital during the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. The excerpt is about essays contributed by the hospital staff members who joined the support activities in Minamisoma City in July 2011 for the evacuees who participated in a temporary entry program to the restricted area.
The temporary entry program started for the evacuees whose houses were located within the 20km from the nuclear power plant. To take care of people who got sick or suffered from heat stroke during the program, a relief team from the hospital was also dispatched to one of the entry points.
