国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟（IFRC）と日本赤十字社（日赤）は、2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災と東京電力福島第一原子力発電所事故における日赤の災害対応について、ケーススタディーとしてまとめました。震災の発生から約3週間の初期緊急対応について触れています。IFRCは、IFRCおよび赤十字赤新月社各社における放射線・原子力緊急事態への備えと対応能力の強化を目指しており、この目的のために、日赤の福島での経験や教訓をケーススタディーにまとめました。
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) developed a case study about the disaster response by the JRCS during the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami and the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Accident which occurred on March 11, 2011. It covers approximately 3 weeks of JRCS's initial phase of emergency response from the occurrence of the earthquake. IFRC has been aiming to improve the capability of IFRC as well as Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in preparedness and response for radiological and nuclear emergencies. For this purpose, JRCS's experiences and lessons learned from activities in Fukushima are summarized in this case study.
