浪江町民健康調査支援事業の健康見守り調査を実施する中で、住民の方々から、手芸をしてみたい、身体を動かしたい、何か自宅でできることを習ってみたいなどの声が聞かれました。そこで、2013年7月から健康体操、手芸、写経サロンを企画し開催し、住民の交流を図りました。

Through the health interview survey for people from Namie, it was recognized that many residents wish to have opportunities for handcrafts, exercises and something they can do at home by themselves. So "Salon" activities for health exercise, handcrafts and Shakyo (hand copying of Buddhist sutra) were held from July 2013 at the Japanese Red Cross Public Health Room to have events for residents.
