2011年11月に開催された第18回国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟総会（連盟総会）において、「原子力事故がもたらす人道的影響に関する決議」が採択されました。2012年1月には、国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟（IFRC）と原発事故当事国の赤十字社である日本赤十字社（日赤）は、関係する赤十字・赤新月社を東京に集めて「原子力災害対策にかかる赤十字会議」を開催し、連盟総会での決議をどのように具現化するかについて話し合いを行いました。
この企画展では、2015年12月に開催された第20回連盟総会に至るまでの、IFRCと関係する赤十字・赤新月社の取り組みと成果について紹介しています。また、第20回連盟総会に合せて日赤が主催した、原子力緊急事態への備えに関するサイドイベントについても紹介しています。
At the 18th International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies General Assembly (GA), the resolution of "preparedness to respond to the humanitarian consequences of nuclear accidents” was adopted. In January 2012, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) whose country experienced the Fukushima Daiichi accident invited National Societies related to response to nuclear accidents to Tokyo and hosted “Working Group Meeting on Nuclear Disaster Preparedness”. At the meeting, the participants discussed how the 2011 GA resolution should be operationalized.
This special webpage introduces efforts and outcome by the IFRC together with relevant National Societies for Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Preparedness till the 20th GA in December 2015. On the sidelines of the the 20th GA, the JRCS hosted a side event on nuclear emergency preparedness and this event is also introduced.
