Since the onset of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami and the Fukushima Daiichi accident, the survivors’ evacuation has been prolonged. Under the circumstances, there are concerns about their development of disuse syndrome and worsening of life-style related diseases. The purpose of the program is to provide the survivors with opportunities to learn how to prevent and deal with the diseases. The Fukushima Chapter has provided the Red Cross First Aid Class for the evacuees living in temporary housing and private rental housing rented by the Fukushima Prefectural Government and Fukushima citizens who have experience of evacuation. The list of activities up to now is posted.
