2014年9月16日～10月10日までの間、那須赤十字病院の手塚美恵子看護師が活動に取り組んだ。今回訪ねたある夫婦が自分たちのことについて一生懸命にお話しになる姿が、とても印象的でした」と手塚看護師。一方、「知らない人と話すなと言われているから話せません」という方も、そのまま電話での会話が30分ほど続いた。こうしたことを考えると、『話を聞く』という意味での日赤の調査活動は、まだまだ必要とされていると思われた。
From September 16 to October 10, 2014, Mieko Tezuka, a nurse from the Nasu Red Cross Hospital, worked on the health consultation program. A husband and wife Ms. Tezuka visited openly shared their experiences with her. That was very impressive to her. Another elderly lady told her over the phone that 'I can’t talk to you because my daughter always tells me not to speak with strangers.' However the conversation continued for about 30 more minutes. This example demonstrates ‘listening’ is still required by the people as part of the JRCS health consultation program.
