2011年11月23日～12月1日、スイス・ジュネーブに世界の赤十字社・赤新月社とそれぞれの政府の代表が集まり、今日の人道課題について協議を行いました。今回は、東日本大震災の発生後、初めて開催される赤十字全体の国際会議となることから、原子力災害が発生した際の国際的な支援と協力のあり方、および大規模災害発生時により効果的な国際支援を実現させるためのルール作りなどについて協議することになっており、日本赤十字社から今回の震災での経験を踏まえた提言を行いました。
In 2001, from November 23, to December 1, representatives from Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and governments around the world will gather in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss humanitarian issues that are focused on today. This is the first international Red Cross conference since the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, and the agenda to be discussed at the conference are international support and collaboration in case of a nuclear emergency, creation of rules for effective international assistance in case of a large-scale disaster, etc. The JRCS made a suggestion based on the experience during the earthquake and tsunami.
