日本赤十字社は、海外の赤十字社・赤新月社から寄せられた救援金をもとに、東日本大震災の被災地の子供たちをサマーキャンプに招待しています。被災によって生活環境が激変し、先行きに不安を抱えている子供たちに大自然の中で伸びやかに過ごしてもらうことを目的としています。2012年から始めた企画で、2013年も北海道留寿都村で行い、小学校5年生から中学3年生まで2160人を招待します。
The Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) has invited children living in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami to a summer camp by using international donations received from Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world. The earthquake drastically changed their living environment and they are concerned about their future. The summer camp was planned for those children to relax in nature, and it started in 2012. The JRCS will also provide the camp in Rusutsu Village, Hokkaido and invite 2,160 children from the 5th to 9th grades.
