東京都は、被災者の一時避難施設として、2011年3月末に閉館したグランドプリンスホテル赤坂(通称:赤プリ〈東京都千代田区〉)にて、福島県などからの避難者約800人を受け入れた。日本赤十字社医療センターの臨床心理士が、ホテルに設けられた健康相談室で週に2日心理支援を行った。心理支援にあたった日赤臨床心理士から、避難者が抱える苦悩やそれを解消するために望まれる支援について話を聞いた。

Red Cross supports people evacuated from radiation zone.
English Description

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government accepted about 800 people evacuated from the affected prefectures including Fukushima at the Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka located in Chiyoda City of Tokyo, which was closed at the end of March 2011 and reopened as a temporary evacuation center. A clinical psychologist of the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center provided psychological support for the evacuees twice a week at a health consultation room set up in the hotel. This is an interview article with the psychologist about sufferings that the evacuees faced and desirable support to eliminate their sufferings.
