2011年3月に日本で発生した巨大地震と津波、それに続く原子力事故を受けて、各国赤十字・赤新月社は2011年11月の連盟総会において、「原子力事故の人道的影響に対応するための準備」を決議しました。この決議を実際に導入し運用するため、いくつかの会議が開催されてきました。今回の会議は第3回目の関係国会議となり、世界16カ国から参加者が集結し、原子力・放射線災害における事前対策および応急対応ガイドラインについて議論するとともに、2015年12月に開催される次の公式会議に向けた準備を行うことを目的に、2014年10月27日から30日にかけて福島市で開催されました。
Following the severe Earthquake and Tsunami which triggered the Nuclear Accident in March 2011 in Japan, Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies adopted Resolution / Decision on ‘RCRC Preparedness to Response to the Humanitarian Consequence of Nuclear Accidents’ at the IFRC General Assembly in November 2011. To follow-up on the implementation and operationalization of this resolution, several meetings were held. This is the third Reference Group Meeting held on Oct. 27 to 30, 2014 at the City of Fukushima with the participants from 16 countries across the world to discuss on the Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Preparedness and Response Guidelines and move towards the next Statutory Meeting in December 2015.
