赤十字病院の渡部副院長より、当時原発事故を想定した行動基準がなかったことや、必要な知識や機材がなかったことが原因で、原発事故発生後には福島赤十字病院を除いては、日赤の救護班は一時的に県外に活動先を移動するか引き上げたことが課題として残ったこと、このため日赤では、原子力災害に備えるための活動を行っていることを紹介しました。

The Third Reference Group Meeting - Presentation by Dr. Watanabe
English Description
Dr. Watanabe explained that after the nuclear accident all JRCS relief teams except one from the Fukushima Red Cross hospital went outside of Fukushima prefecture or withdrew to their hospitals. This was because there was no code of conduct under the nuclear disaster circumstances and the lack of necessary knowledge or equipment at that time. Therefore JRCS has been doing activities to prepare for nuclear disasters.
