日本赤十字社(日赤)と国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟(IFRC)は、東日本大震災において空前の規模で救援・復興活動が行われたことを踏まえ、ここから得られた教訓を明らかにし先進国における大規模災害への対応を強化する目的で、共同で本活動を評価することにしました。
本レポートは、日赤とIFRCが行った6か月間の活動を対象とした評価の、日本語訳です。評価結果に基づき、日赤や他の姉妹社に向けた20項目の提言がまとめられています。
During and after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, relief and recovery activities were provided in an unprecedented scale. For the purpose of clarifying lessons learned from the activities and strengthening capabilities for response to large-scale disasters in developed countries, the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) decided to jointly evaluate the activities. The six-month activities were evaluated by the JRCS and the IFRC.
This content is about the findings from the evaluation. Based on the findings, 20 recommendations are given to the JRCS and other National Societies in this report.
