The Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) held the FY 2018 First Meeting of Radiation Emergency Medical Care Advisors on July 9-10, 2018. In this meeting, issues that were identified during the process of formulating the Nuclear Disaster Guidelines for Preparedness, Response and Recovery were examined. Additionally, Dr. Yoichi Watanabe, President of Japanese Red Cross Fukushima Hospital, gave a presentation titled “Response to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Accident: Realities and Challenges”.
