日赤は、今後発生するかもしれない原子力災害において被災者の救護活動を行えるように備えることは、原発事故を経験した国の赤十字社としての責任であると考えています。日赤の原子力災害へ備える取り組みの柱は、「活動従事者の安全確保」、「原子力災害対応のための体制の強化」、「原子力災害対応のための人材育成」そして「原子力災害に関する情報収集と発信」です。震災発生から5年が経過した今、日赤がこれまでに行ってきた取り組みについて紹介しています。
The JRCS thinks that preparing for possible future nuclear disasters to provide relief activities for survivors is a responsibility of a National Society of a country that experienced a nuclear accident. The pillars of the JRCS's nuclear disaster preparedness are: ensuring the safety of JRCS responders; strengthening the structure to respond to nuclear disasters; education/training for staff; and gathering/disseminating information. Five years have passed since the earthquake and tsunami. This special content introduces the efforts that the JRCS has made for nuclear disaster preparedness.
