国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟 (IFRC) は、2011年11月にジュネーブで開催された第18回総会で、IFRCや各国赤十字社が原子力災害の被災者救援に役割を果たすことなどを盛り込んだ、「原子力事故がもたらす人道的影響に関する決議」を採択しました。日赤はこの決議に基づき、将来起こるかもしれない原子力災害への備えに取り組む決意をしました。

Background of the JRCS’s nuclear disaster preparedness (4/4)
English Description
At the 18th General Assembly held in November 2011 in Geneva, the IFRC (International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies) adopted a resolution on "preparedness to respond to the humanitarian consequences of nuclear accidents." This resolution includes a description that National Societies should help survivors also in the event of a nuclear disaster. Based on this resolution, the JRCS made a determination to address preparedness for possible future nuclear disasters.
