On the occasion of the Fifth anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami and the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, the Digital Archives published a special webpage to introduce the recovery assistance programs by the Japanese Red Cross Fukushima Chapter.
This page is about a Red Cross Health Class program. The elderly people are experiencing a prolonged evacuation and/or living an inconvenient lifestyle in temporary housing. This has caused great concerns about their physical and mental health. This program aims to help them to prevent disuse syndrome and nursing care or to alleviate isolation due to the changed environment and disrupted hometown communities.
