第1回の赤十字原子力災害セミナーが2013年12月2日に日本赤十字社（日赤）本社で開催されました。セミナーは、原子力災害に関する情報を日赤内外の皆さんと共有することを目的に開催されます。第1回のセミナーでは、日赤の近衞社長による挨拶、西島赤十字原子力災害情報センター長によるセンターの役割についての説明紹介のあと、放射線医学総合研究所（NIRS）の明石理事から「日本における放射線被ばく医療」と題して、福島赤十字病院の渡部副院長から「福島原発事故における日赤救護活動と今後の課題」と題して講演をいただきました。また、富岡町で避難者の生活支援を行っている、「おだがいさまセンター」の天野センター長からのビデオメッセージも紹介されました。
The First Red Cross Nuclear Disaster Seminar was held on December 2, 2013 at the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) National Headquarters. The Seminar is generally organized to share information on nuclear disasters with parties inside and outside the JRCS. The First Seminar started with the opening speech by Tadateru Konoe, President of the JRCS, followed by the explanation of the role of the Red Cross Nuclear Disaster Resource Center by Shuichi Nishijima, Director General of the center. Then two experts gave keynote presentations. The first presenter was Dr. Makoto Akashi, Executive Director of the National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS) and gave a presentation entitled “Radiation Medicine in Japan.” The second presenter was Dr. Yoichi Watanabe, Deputy Director General of the Fukushima Red Cross Hospital and gave a presentation entitled “Relief Activities Conducted by the Japanese Red Cross Society after the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Accident and the Challenges for the Future.” Following the presentations, a video message was shown from Mr. Kazuhiko Amano, Director of Tomioka Odagaisama Center for Supporting Reconstruction of Victims' Living, who is supporting lives of the evacuees in Tomioka Town, Fukushima Prefecture.
