2014年11月5日、日本赤十字社(日赤)は「平成26年度第1回原子力災害対応基礎研修会」を開催しました。この研修会は、東日本大震災の教訓を踏まえた日赤の原子力災害対応能力強化への取り組みのひとつで、救護班要員である全国の赤十字病院の医師、診療放射線技師、看護師、事務職員や、支部職員を対象に、今回初めて開かれました。先に開催された、日赤の緊急被ばく医療指定機関の担当者による意見交換会に参加した17人の医師・診療放射線技師が講師をつとめました。研修会は、救護班要員が放射線環境下での救護活動に安全かつ安心して従事できるよう、放射線や緊急被ばく医療体制に関する基本的知識、放射線防護資機材の使用方法を習得することを目的としています。
On November 5, 2014, the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) held the FY 2014 First JRCS Nuclear Disaster Response Basic Training Session. This training is part of the JRCS's efforts to strengthen nuclear disaster response capabilities based on the lessons learned from the experience during the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. This training was held for the first time for relief team members which consist of physicians, radiological technologists, nurses and administrative staff working at Japanese Red Cross (JRC) hospitals throughout Japan and staff working at JRC chapters. Before this training, the meeting for medical personnel of JRC hospitals designated as radiation emergency hospitals was held and 17 physicians and radiological technologists who participated in the meeting served as instructors during this training session. The purpose of the training is to allow JRCS relief team members to acquire basic knowledge about radiation and radiation emergency medicine system so that they can engage in relief activities in a radiation environment in a safe and secure manner.
