2015年3月15日、福島県が主催する「ふくしま復興を考える県民シンポジウム2015」が開催されました。本シンポジウムでは、国際赤十字・赤新月社連盟（IFRC）の事務次長と原子力災害対策上級担当官が講演を行いました。日本赤十字社（日赤）は、会場に赤十字原子力災害情報センターのブースを設置し、日赤の福島における復興支援事業を紹介しました。シンポジウムには、仙台で開かれていた国連防災世界会議の本会議に参加していた各国の赤十字関係者が、バスで福島を訪れて参加しました。福島へ移動中の車内では、ボランティアの学生が日赤の復興支援への取り組みについて説明しました。
On March 15, 2015, the Residents Symposium for Fukushima Reconstruction 2015 was organized and held by Fukushima Prefecture. During this symposium, Under Secretary General of the IFRC and Senior Officer of Nuclear and Radiological Accidents Preparedness Programme Services Division of the IFRC gave presentations. The Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) set up a booth of the Red Cross Nuclear Disaster Resource Center to introduce the JRCS's recovery assistance programs held in Fukushima. The Symposium was joined by staff from other Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies who participated in the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai. They traveled from Sendai to Fukushima by bus. On the bus to Fukushima, some JRCS volunteer students explained the JRCS's efforts for the recovery assistance to the participants.
